Many of its inhabitants are endangered and rare species, including the majestic blackbuck and the iconic barasingha, finding refuge within the reserve's protective boundaries. Kanha is situated in the southwestern expanse of Madhya Pradesh and has earned international recognition due to the renowned Kanha Tiger Reserve, known for harboring India's largest tiger population. The reserve proudly boasts over 125 tigers, marking a significant milestone as of 2018.
